The previous chapter that describes the Collection Viewer already mentioned how you can copy, cut and paste images from and to collection. What that did was copying the reference of the images to the clipboard and then pastes the reference. It never copied the entire imageÆs content. The Image Viewer does allow this. You can copy the full image or only a selection of the image to the clipboard.

To copy the full image to the Windows clipboard, first make sure there is no selection active in the image area. Now open the Image Editing panel and click the copy button in the toolbar:

.

To copy only a selective area of the image to the clipboard you need to select that area first. Then, while the selection is active, open the Image Editing panel and click the copy button in the toolbar:

.

Copying a full image or a selective part of the image to the clipboard can also be done using the keyboard shortcut [Ctrl]+[C].

The copied (part of the) image is now stored to the Windows clipboard. You can now paste this image in any other application that is image aware, like Adobe PhotoshopÖ, Corel PaintShopProÖ, or a text processor like Microsoft WordÖ or Corel WordPerfectÖ. Evidently you can also paste the image back to IDimager.
